Recreational soccer is designed for the enjoyment and development of soccer players without the emphasis on high-level competition, training and involves no out-of-town travel.
No! Anyone who wants to join TC Storm's recreational program is welcome to do so.
TC Storm offers recreational soccer in all four seasons.
Each season is typically 5-6 weeks.

All teams in the recreational program are coached by volunteers, most of whom are parents of children in the program.
You can choose to receive more information about volunteering to coach during the registration process for your child(ren). Otherwise, please contact us. We always need new, enthusiastic coaches to help!
Yes, any coach, volunteer or staff members that works closely with children is required to submit to a background check. Only coaches that pass the check are allowed to coach our teams.
TC Storm uses the SportsEngine software to communicate with our members. You will receive access to a Team Page that will contain game schedules, practice schedules, contact information, roster information and much more. This information is accessible via the website as well as a mobile app you can install on your mobile devices. Help articles on how to use the software is provided on the Team Page.
All messages will be sent through the SportsEngine Team Pages to the email address you used when you registered your child for the program.
Coaches receive their roster information 2-3 weeks prior to the start of the season.
Each team will typically offer one practice per week (weather permitting) during the Fall and Spring seasons.
Each coach will coordinate and communicate the times and location with their team.
For the Fall, Spring and Summer seasons, all games are played at either the Pepsi Soccer Complex or the Moorhead Soccer Complex. Games for the winter season will be played at an indoor facility. See the Locations tab on the Programs-->Recreational page on our website for addresses and directions.
All seasons will have one game per week, weather permitting.

Tri-City Storm reversible recreational jersey, soccer cleats or tennis shoes, shin guards, soccer socks and an appropriately sized soccer ball. Players should also have a water bottle and sunscreen.
It is a reversible black and white jersey. Players may wear any socks or shorts/sweatpants they wish. Players may also wear a long-sleeved shirt or sweatshirt under their jersey if it is cold. Players may NOT wear jewelry of any kind for games. This is for the safety of all the players.

The jersey is $20.
Players should wear the white side of their jersey when their team is the Home Team in the schedule. When their team is the Away Team, they should wear the black side of their jersey. Goalkeepers should wear a color is different than the field players on their team.
Baseball cleats are NOT allowed. By design, baseball cleats have a cleat on the toe that is dangerous in soccer.
It is highly recommended that you write your last name and a phone number on ALL of your equipment. This allows us to contact you if your child misplaces any equipment. Otherwise, all equipment that is left is placed in our Lost and Found area, retained for the rest of the season and then donated to local charities at the end of the season.
